¡Hola a todos! Welcome to another email by Hermana Smith. This week went so fast. 

Tortilla Count :162 

Fun fact, I was the first white missionary to come to San Agustín in over a year and Hna Watrous and I are the first companionship of white girls is San Agustín. Ever. Soooo, we get asked the question ¿Que hacen güeritas? Which means, What are you doing little white girls? 

Monday: Pday, we had a party for a Hna in the mission and got pizza. Little Ceasars tastes better in Mexico. 

Tuesday: Went to Guerrero for Consejo de Distritos. Elder Ariras bought us a cake. Gracias Elder Ariras. 

Wednesday: We spent more time exploring the smaller towns and countryside in our area. Muy tranquilo. 

Thursday: We helped a lady feed her pigs and for some reason I didn't know how big pigs can be. That's a lot of bacon. We also taught English class!

Friday: Full of milagros!!! (Miracles). A couple weeks ago we received a voice message from a girl living in Utah who recently found the church. She asked us if we could go visit her cousins who live in San Agustín. We went to a lesson thinking we were only teaching one person but there were 6 people there all interested in learning more about the gospel. 
Hna Watrous and I were also asked if we could teach the branch how to sing so, we started a music class! My 4 years of high school choir are coming in handy as I try to teach Mexicans how to sing. 

Saturday: Some great lessons and noche de hogar (family home evening) was a success! A lady also asked us if we were princesses. I said yes ma'am, I am a daughter of a king. 

Sunday: 2 friends with baptism dates came to church and one brought her dad! So we had 3 friends at church. We also made brownies at the church and they were so yummy. I was also told by 3 different people that I speak Spanish with a Latina accent. I don't know where I picked it up but I'm assuming its a good thing.

1 John 1:7
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 

Jesus Christ is my light. Because of Him I am clean from my sins. One of the most important things you can do in your spiritual journey is gain a testimony of the loving and redeeming Atonement of Jesus Christ. He knows and loves you!

 March 23, 2026 ¡Hola familia y amigos! Hope everyone is doing great back home. Not a ton happened this week but I did eat A LOT of tortillas.  Tortilla count: 54  Monday: P-day! Our district all came to San Agustín and we shopped and made tortillas at the church building.  Tuesday: We went down to Tepatepec for district council and had interviews with Presidente Morales. He is amazing!  Wednesday: Hermana Pale was sick so she spent the morning resting and I read 12 chapters of the Book of Mormon. Later in the day we had Noche de Hogar (Family Home Evening) and 2 friends came!  Thursday: Knocking, street contacting, taught my English class. We invited 2 people to be baptized and they both said they would think about it. So we'll see. Friday: Did some service for Hermana Ines. We basically just moved concrete blocks and rocks for a couple hours. She has sheep and lots of chickens! She the fed us and I honestly have no idea what I ate. I think it was cactus a...

February 24, 2026   ¡Hola amigos y familia!  I hope you are all doing wonderful! This week was pretty typical as far as CCM goes. However, I am headed into my last week of training which means next week I should be headed into the field!! It's honestly so crazy I feel like I got here yesterday but that I have also been here for 4 years.  Que padre: technically it translates to "what dad," but when the Mexicans use it, it means cool.  Tuesday was P-day, we played pickleball with our district for a while and watched a devotional from Elder Uchtdorf. Wednesday I hit one month being set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ! We also started "solo español" which means that I have 6 hours of class everyday in only Spanish. I feel like I am learning a lot  but I also know that I am about to be humbled when I get to the field next week.  Thursdays are always busy.
